Fangoira sez: Darren Lynn Bousman is to direct Saw IV. He did II and III too. Poor chap doesn't start shooting until mid-April and has to get it on screen October 26th. Hope they're paying him enough.

Yes, I read that news about the 'Genetic Opera' too - and indeed, I reported on a different supposed Saw IV director a few weeks back, but Fangoria have quoted Leigh Whannel as saying Bousman is back.
I guess he has both projects on his plate - just like Shawn Levy being flagged up in Variety for directing The Flash and The Hardy Men when he starts shooting Marley and Me in April.
Jammy bleeders are getting all of their ducks lined up in a row.
And Variety now have a piece explicity stating that Repo! will come after Saw IV for Bousman.
