Ratatouille Concept Art StumbleUpon Toolbar

The 20 Years of Pixar Exhibition now includes Ratatouille concept art - which you can see below.

The full gallery was taken by a young man named Dougie, up there in Edinburgh. Cheeky.

Movie Minesweeper - Too Much Clutter That Needs Binning Edition StumbleUpon Toolbar

This is a very big update, and there should be something for everyone...

- Lionsgate
are to release Michael Moore's Sicko across the states on June 29th. That's the same day as Die Hard 4.0 and Ratatouille.

- The Film Agency for Wales are to fund Wyndham Price's Abraham's Point, Justin Kerrigan's I Know You and Caradog James' Blonde. They're also lining up Seperado!, a documentary about Super Furry Gruff Rhys' solo-tour of South America that struck me as more appealing than the fiction films put together.

- The premiere of Ocean's 13 is set to raise cash for the Not on Our Watch charity, which supports relief efforts in Darfur.

- La Vie en Rose is the opener for this year's Sydney Film Festival, Day Watch will be the closer.

- People have some preview shots from High School Musical 2.

- Hilary Swank is to be beset by Vampires in Fangland.

- Uri Geller has tried to remove an expose of his pathetic charlatanism from YouTube, but the plan has backfired, and now he's being sued. Good. He's a cynical conman and he might make a good example if this blows up big enough.

- Another Die Hard 4.0 featurette has been certificated for DVD - this time, a 40 minute look back at the first film.

- George Lucas has dissed Spider-Man 3 to Fox News. Silly man - he never directed a film that was a half as well made as Spider-Man 3, for all its faults.

- No more Warner Bros. talker screenings in Canada. Apparently, this is because the Canucks are big time pirates. Let's see if this tactic actually has any effect.

- Five films from CalArts students are now online, and are well worth your time.

- Besides The Jetsons, Robert Rodriguez is also considering a film version of Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell. What an utterly unappetising pair of prospects. I hope he finds something better to do than become a studio hack.

- Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont are scripting Sisters of Mercy as a Will Smith vehicle. Yep - I'm looking forward to Made of Honor, have Can't Hardly Wait on DVD, and I'd buy Josie and the Pussycats if I saw it cheap enough. Sue me.

- Peter and Michael Spierig's Daybreakers is finally moving ahead: Ethan Hawke has signed to star.

- Roger Langridge is working on a Muppets strip for Disney Adventures magazine. Roger and I once had work published in the same comic, I believe.

- The Veronica Mars 2.0 show seems to be a go, after all.

Ratatouille 9 Minute Preview - Full Screen Size StumbleUpon Toolbar

You can now watch that wonderful 9-minute sequence from Ratatouille (or pair of sequences, to be precise) in a much, much bigger window. The resolution takes a hit, but what do you want? Everything?

I'm still working on a downalod link so we can all save ourselves a copy.

11% Ponyo, 8% Ratatouille StumbleUpon Toolbar

Over 10% of Miyazaki's Ponyo on a Cliff have already been completed and filmed. Over 11%, in fact - if you're feeling detail oriented. You may need a translator to help you with that production diary, however.

I yesterday watched around 8% of Ratatouille and it felt like a really big, healthy serving. I'm still trying to find a direct download url for the clip so we can all save it instead of just stream it.

Yahoo Buzz Boo Hoo StumbleUpon Toolbar

As I saw on SlashFilm, Yahoo's Buzz Log have compiled a countdown of the twenty most searched movie releases due this summer. Unsurprisingly, Spider-Man 3 tops the list, followed by Transformers and Shrek the Third. DOA: Dead or Alive is at number 10 - despite being available on DVD in the UK already. I dare say this is down to quite lascivious intent on the part of the search artists - they should just import the disc and get just what they want from pause, zoom and A-B repeat.

Which reminds me: I need to add it to my rental queue.

Underdog clocks in at 17, above Hostel 2 at 18. That was shocking enough. More surprisingly, Ratatouille has only made it to 19, with Knocked Up coming in at the bottom.

Curious.

As for Google, the two gaining queries in their latest weekly Zeitgeist report (week ending 21st April) that have movie connections are number 9, Alec Baldwin and 10, Shia LaBeouf.

What Do John Ratzenberger And Bruce Campbell Have In Common? StumbleUpon Toolbar

Bruce Campbell is playing a snooty Maitre D' in Spider-Man 3, John Ratzenberger in Ratatouille. JV Pixar found out - a superb piece of work from them, it seemed to involve watching Dancing With the Stars - and as a result, we have the below picture to show you. This is how Ratzenberger will look when the film opens in the next couple of months.

9 Minutes Of Ratatouille Coming Soon StumbleUpon Toolbar

Disney's official site is going to host a nine minute clip of Ratatouille on May 1st. As per the Spider-Man 3 sequence from a few weeks back, I'm hoping somebody manages to strip the source file's location so we'll all be able to download and keep it.

Want to see a trailer for the Ratatouille trailer? Head off to the Disney site and use the 'You're Watching' menu to choose Ratatouille. Then you'll be treated to a good 20 seconds or so from the film, including some brief shots that may not be in the final trailer cut.

It's looking very good.
